Optimum Turbulence for Larval Survival

Larvae, which does not have enough swiming ability, are upon influence of physical environment such as turbulence and water temperature. We focused on the turbulence condition influencing efficiency of feeding in larval period of yellowfin and Pacific bluefin tunas.

By the cooperative research with Maizuru Fisheries Research Station and Gondol Research Institute of Mariculture for larvae of red seabream, halibut and milkfish.
